In January 2011, we sent a team of 15 volunteers to Tanzania Africa to help at the new clinic and conduct mobile clinics in surrounding villages.

 

This is the new clinic! Downstairs is the clinic; upstairs are sleeping quarters for doctors/volunteers.

It was announced to the local Maasai that we were there and could see more patients than normal.  Over 100 patients waited daily in line under a tent the clinic provided.

We were busy and treated many patients for a range of problems.

New medical clinic update

The new medical clinic is just about done! Here are some recent pictures. All of the furniture was built by Maasai onsite.

The middle of June already?

Just a reminder for anyone interested in the mission trips to Papua New Guinea and Boma Sudan:

Deadline for applications on the PNG trip is coming soon. June 30.

The price now appears to be at or near $2400 from LA.  If you would like to go, get your application and deposit in quickly, or if you know someone who would like to go, please send them the attached flyer.

The deadline for applications on the Boma Sudan trip will be August 31.  This will be the first trip to this location where we understand medical care has been non-existent.  Please see the attached information and pass it on.

We’re at it again!

Back by popular demand is another fun evening of food, stories, pictures and friends all together for a fundraising event to support our Tanzania Medical Mission! 

We are holding our next Dinner Auction on May 22^nd, 6pm in Redmond at St Thomas Parrish Hall 527 SW 12^th street.

We are putting the team together for the next missions trip to Papua New Guinea and we need a Doctor who wants to go!  Are you one, or do you know of one who wants to serve in the short term missions field?  Please let us know!  The deadline is nearing and time is running out for you to get in on this opportunity.
